Christmas at the Codlings

Every year we get together with our dear friends, Barry and Sue Codling, Tim, Tiffany, Addy and Ava Codling, and Jeff, Sonia and Brendan Mitchell. We eat, drink and enjoy the company.

Now that the kids are bigger, we have decided to start a new tradition. We are going to let them decorate cookies. This year was a trial run! They all seemed to have fun though.

Jackson in his hat and apron.

Ainsleigh loved eating the icing and sprinkles off her cookie.

Addy couldn't get enough of the chocolate sprinkles so she finally just ate them out of the jar!

Cooper loved the icing and sprinkles too.

Boy, Brendan had the most fun. I bet he decorated 7 or 8 cookies! He loved spreading the icing, but it finally got the best of him. He had to lick the knife!

Well, the party was a success! Jackson fell asleep in the middle of the madness around 8:30 or so. The little ones were running around like Energizer Bunnies until almost 10!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ainsleigh and Cooper!

We celebrated an early 2nd birthday. We had a low key birthday this year. Just family and a few neighbors over for cake and ice cream. Since the babes want to watch Nemo ALL THE TIME now, we went with a Nemo theme. Anytime someone would mention the word party, they would smile and say "Nemo cake". They loved it. It is so hard to believe they are 2!!

Ainsleigh loved her suitcase from Gaga. Cooper got one too!

I am not exactly sure what Kristin is trying to get Cooper to do, but it proved to be a funny picture! She helped Cooper open all of his presents. Thanks Aunt K!!

Ahhh, the chaos. Can you imagine Christmas this year??

Cooper loved his Home Depot toolbox from Aunt Kristin and Uncle Michael. He has pulled it around the house fixing things all week.

Princess Ainsleigh thanks to Aunt Kristin and Uncle Michael.

Apparently Uncle Michael was a bit jealous. He decided to wear the crown, pink boa and carry Ainsleigh's new pink pooch purse. I am not sure where the dogs are that go in it though!

Ainsleigh getting ready to blow out her candles.

Jackson was a big helper to Cooper. He helped open presents and blow out the candles.

The Nemo cakes...yummy!

We didn't mean for Cooper to dig into the cake, but he did and only ate icing. He was wired for a bit after this!

Mimi (sorry it is a bad picture), Brendan, Ainsleigh and Cooper playing in the toy room.

"Baby Ava" according to Ainsleigh. She LOVES Ava!

Beautiful Addy. She had on some of the dress up clothes that Ainsleigh got for her birthday.

Sibling Love

Talk about sibling love. Cooper is picking "toe fuzz" from between Ainsleigh's toes. He is just like Jackson. He is obsessed with cleaning his toes!

Playing Ring Around the Rosey and having too much fun falling down.

They played this for a long time.

Ainsleigh definitely took the lead!

Thanksgiving Fun

We had a great Thankgiving dinner at Gaga's house. Jahnae, Damon and their families all got to come so we had a large crew! Lots of good food and fun was had by all.

Jahnae and her "mini me"...Aidyn!

Brendan, the excellent story teller. He kept the kids attention for a while!

Aidyn, Kennedi, Jackson and Ainsleigh listening to Brendan's stories.

On Saturday, everyone headed out to our house for some fun.

Can you believe we actually got all 9 kids to sit down together and halfway smile? I think there was a full moon.

We couldn't get Cooper to smile much for his Christmas pictures earlier this day, but he sat down and kept saying cheese. Go figure!!!!!

Damon and Aidyn playing.

Sierra...I am not exactly sure what she was doing!

Jackson and Cooper had too much fun. They crashed after all the kids left. Of course our Energizer Bunny (Ainsleigh) was still going.

Jackson's Thanksgiving Program

The Kindergarten classes held a special Thanksgiving Program for the parents. It was so cute. They sang several songs which were very funny. Then we all went back to their classrooms for a special "play". Jackson had a huge fan club...mom, dad, Ainsleigh, Cooper, Gaga, Mimi and Popsy were in the crowd to cheer him on and of course do lots of waving to him:)

Our Pilgrim looked more like a country singer. Doesn't his hat
look like a cowboy hat, especially the way he is wearing it?

Most of the Kindergarteners singing their hearts out. The turkeys were on the front row and they were hilarious!

Back in Mrs. Dorsten's class for the special play.

Jackson was the minister along with being a Pilgrim. He had the only single speaking part and did a great job!

A very proud mom and dad with the star Pilgrim.
