Country Music Kids Marathon

Jackson is only 7 and has completed his first Marathon! He walked at school and at home to complete 26 miles and then walked the last half mile at the marathon on Friday night. They divided the kids by grade and sex. So there was a group starting every 15 minutes from 5pm until 7:15pm. There were over 4,000 kids that participated and it was full by February 9th! It was an insanely crazy place but we all had fun and were very proud of our runner.

Look at all of the people that lined the race path.

The crazy Riggs kids!

Ainsleigh and Cooper watching for Jackson. They were very good cheerleaders for their big brother.

Here comes Jackson. This is the only picture I got of him running.

At the finish line, Tennessee Titan football players gave each child a medal. Jackson didn't know which one gave him his medal. The parents couldn't see the finish line.

The proud parents and our marathon runner.

Look at that cool medal. It is his first!

Spring time fun

Cooper had a run-in with the pavement at Jackson's ballgame. Poor thing fell and his face slide across the pavement. OUCH! He was a trooper and only cried a little.

Playing in the sandbox.

Ainsleigh really likes sitting in the back of the big dump truck!

Sweet little kids.

Wonder what Cooper said that was so funny?!

Cool Cooper.

Silly Ainsleigh

We were cleaning out the van and took the carseats out. Before we knew it, Ainsleigh was sitting in hers relaxing.

They love each other very much!

Cooper playing in the little house in our back yard.

Just relaxing....

We borrowed a trailer from our friend Tim. It fits on a bike so Taylor can pull the babes. They LOVED it!

Riding on our street.

Daddy and the kids getting ready to go on a ride. I tried to get on the bike, but it is too tall. I could barely reach the pedals.

Easter Egg Dying and Hunting

We spent Easter weekend in Murray. The kids had lots of fun and were very happy that the Easter Bunny found them!

Popsy used to make Michael and I a bunny cake at Easter. He made one for Jackson, Ainsleigh and Cooper this year. They loved it.

Cooper coloring eggs.

Ainsleigh made lots of pink eggs, but she did use other colors too.

Wow, that is bright yellow!

Popsy trying to clean up Ainsleigh's mess.

Cool egg Jackson!

Cooper watching his blue egg.

The Easter bunny hides the kids baskets every year and leaves them clues in order to find them. This year Jackson could read most of the clues which was extra fun!

Reading another clue. That bunny had them running all over Mimi and Popsy's house.

Looking for Easter eggs.

A day at the zoo

A very handsome Cooper getting ready to go to the zoo.

We love the big blue birds at the entrance.

Mommy, Ainsleigh and Cooper watching the monkeys. They are Ainsleigh's favorite. "Monkey funny" is what we heard all day long.

Those silly monkey's swinging from the trees.

Petting zebra skin.

Our picnic lunch was so much fun!

The elephants were funny too. This one kept getting water with his trunk and spraying it.

The giraffes "have long neck" as the kids would say.
