Christmas with the Charlton's, Another Birthday and Snow!!

What a weekend! We headed to Murray for Christmas with mom's side of the family the weekend of December 11th. It gets harder and harder for us to all get together, but we still try. Those that can come get to catch up and we miss those that don't. Mom and Dad had a surprise birthday cake for Ainsleigh and Cooper since it was the weekend before their birthday. I didn't get to take too many pictures. I was busy helping mom with dinner and keeping my kids from teaching Kole (my cousin Holly's almost 2 year old) some bad habits!

What a cute cake!

Blowing out the candles with some help from their big brother.

Thanks to the Deweese gang for the tap shoes and "princess dress" as Ainsleigh calls it. She tapped all weekend at Mimi and Popsy's house.

We woke up Sunday morning to snow and quite a bit of it for Kentucky.

The babes didn't have good snow clothes since we didn't think it would actually snow and we were only there one night! So, we brought the snow to them. They loved making snowballs at the kitchen table.

Ainsleigh kept talking about how cold that snow was!

Jackson got this sled from Chuck, Heather, Emily and Owen the night before. What perfect timing. He loved it! He had to dress in my old clothes, Mimi's shoes and Popsy's fleece hood.

Sledding down Mimi and Popsy's driveway.

He really got going after a few tries.

Jackson made this beautiful snow angel.

We had to drag him inside....

...I think he looks frozen!

We left Murray after it started melting off the streets. The roads in KY were fairly clear and we saw tons of salt trucks on I-24. That was not the case in TN however. We didn't see a salt truck until we got to Nashville. Things were going ok until we got about 30 miles outside of Nashville. The roads got really bad and I drove about 40 miles an hour the rest of the way home. We saw lots of cars off the road, wrecks and one truck even spun out and went off the road right in front of us. Almost 4 hours after we left Murray, we arrived safe and sound in Franklin.

We had some wind that made the snow drift a bit. It looks like we got alot more here than we really did.

A pretty first snow!
